About a year ago I started a practice before the twins went to bed to stand in front of the mirror and repeat, “I am Beautiful.” This is the first Positive Affirmations for Children I started with.
Now they don’t need much more prompting before they scream with gusto “I am Beautiful.”
Why? Because more than anything I wish to start an unconscious belief in them that they are beautiful inside and out, that they have confidence, creativity and intelligent and are awesome! I only recently bought a beautiful box of affirmation cards from Louise Hay which I try to randomly read as much as possible but I can’t wait to put up my own set of affirmation cards for the twins in their new bedroom when I finally move into this house. You could probably make your own cards but I found a lovely little website called Foster Mind that sells beautiful posters and stickers supporting self-confidence and a positive belief system. Instead of the alphabet plastered to the walls what better start is at home when you wake and go to sleep.
Positive Affirmations for children are a start to build a child’s self-esteem and it is never too early to start. The feeling of self-worth starts in pre-school as your child learns and tries new things. Affirmations for Children do not have to be complicated or hard. They should be fun, easy to remember and colourful.
