A little girl after my own heart! I can sniff out chocolate over anything else! My two (are not identical) have totally different tastes! My little boy would eat chocolate until he turned into chocolate but his sister will have pasta over anything else! I think they do go through phases and I just keep trying to introduce foods again and again. But you are right - they do seem know know when you are trying to sneak in something healthy!

Found you via the Multiple Mayhem carnival - I am hosting it in May so hope you can join in again!

Fascinating! I would have thought identicals would have the same tastes. My guess is there's a lot more that we don't know about nature vs nurture than we do. And the Dadday is a Kiwi: me too! He's dead right about Kiwi marmite too :)

Our house are huge Giggle and Hoot fans but this Hootabelle character lacks the enthusiasm to engage any of us. She needs dose of happiness and giggliness - I cringe when she is on because she is so dull next to Giggle and Hoot and brings down the team. The producers need to rethink her voice and get a voice that can keep up to excited little people who like the way the othe's speak - she is not giving a political speecha afterall

I think "I don't know how you do it" is a statement that most make because they think they are being nice, empathetic even. I can not say that do not do it alone always. I have a husband who helps a tiny bit, but I do know in the times that I do do it alone that you do it because you have to. It's about survival. That's something that most will not get until they've walked in your shoes. I know that this will likely not help you, but I wanted to say that what you are doing has been done before by many other brave women, and that in doing this, you will only be made stronger. Keep doing what you are doing.

It actually is not the whimpiest virus. See our community's experience [http://biosurveillance.typepad.com/biosurveillance/2012/02/forecasting-your-own-demise.html] and our recent word that pediatricians in Indiana are testing ALL admits for hMPV.

Not as bad as H1N1, but certainly disruptive to folks' lives.

Cheers,
Jim

@LeAnn - you are right the Blue Healers are wonderful dogs. My brother has had two (he farms) and they have been great. He didn't have train them much at all - they house trained themselves and since he was on a farm he was able to use them with the cattle.

@Blog owner (sorry I don't know your name) - We had shelties and some kind of blue mountain dog and mutts growing up (we were out in the country). Shelties need to be groomed (we actually shaved Mack each summer and he loved it once he got over being embarrassed). We also shaved the mutt down. They collected every burr and other crud on the farm and would get huge mats if we didn't.

Loved both the sheltie and the mutt - very sweet dogs. Sheltie's are another herding dog - so if you are near farmers the Sheltie & the Blue Healer wouldn't be good choices - unless they don't have cattle or sheep). You wouldn't want your dog to be shot by a farmer.
